Poly L Lactic Acid (PLLA) is a processable semi-crystalline thermoplastic made by fermentation from renewable carbohydrate feedstock. Biologically compatable PLLA filaments for biomedical research and development purposes.

Our BioX filament is a stiff polymer of high crystallinity (75%), with mechanical properties that are similar to polystyrene. This filament is for use in a range of medical applications which are in the research phase, including implantable structures.

Recommended 3D Printing Settings

Extruder: 195- 205°C (Desktop printers). BioX is a PLLA-based product and has a lower melt viscosity that traditional PLA. Therefore; it is necessary to print at a lower temperatures to allow the resin to flow properly. Bed Temp: 45°C. Bed Prep: Kapton Tape
