Carbon fibre composites are outstanding in applicates that require a combination of lightweight and high performance. We create many different types of defence components and undertake the design, pattern creation for producing a mould, carbon fibre lay-down and subsequent curing and finishing processes. We carry out everything inhouse to minimise cost and control the final quality of the carbon fibre products that we produce.
Armour systems for fighting vehicles are traditionally expensive and adds weight to the platform. Our Ultra Bainite Steel is a low-cost ultra-high hardness armour steel that provides an alternative to current protective armour plate.
Out ultra-bainitic steel produces steel crystals that are just one-fifteenth the size of those in standard steel, this makes it much stronger. By carefully adjusting the alloying elements including manganese, silicon, chromium and molybdenum, the level of carbides could be reduced and results in a superior armour steel product.
Ultra-Bainite Steel (SBS) is a high performance steel with a ballistic performance at three times that of traditional conventional Rolled Homogenous Armour (RHA). It is both ultra-hard (670Hv) and is highly effective against a range of projectiles and munitions.Contact Us
