Out ultra-bainitic steel has a steel crystal structure that are just one-fifteenth the size of those in standard steel, this makes it much stronger. By carefully adjusting the alloying elements including manganese, silicon, chromium and molybdenum, the level of carbides are reduced and results in a superior armour steel product.
Ultra-Bainite Steel (UBS) is a high performance steel with a ballistic performance at three times that of traditional conventional Rolled Homogenous Armour (RHA). It is both ultra-hard (670Hv) and is highly effective against a range of projectiles and munitions.
